On December 8, 2022, the Jiangsu Metallurgical Industry Association and the Jiangsu Metal Society convened a “Provincial Symposium on the Operational Situation and Countermeasures for the Metallurgical Industry, along with an Expanded Meeting of the Association’s Board of Directors” at the Jiangning Dahuan Group in Nanjing. Our company, as a vice-president unit of the New Materials Branch, participated in this meeting.
At the meeting, the list of winners of the 2022 Jiangsu Metallurgical Industry Association and Jiangsu Metal Society Science and Technology Awards was announced. According to the relevant award regulations, after undergoing procedures including application, review, public announcement, and approval, a total of 45 scientific and technological achievement awards and 54 individuals received the Science and Technology Talent Award. The project “Research on Key Technologies for the Production Process of Hafnium Wire for High-Quality Plasma Cutting,” submitted by You Tian Metal, won the Second Prize. Meanwhile, the R&D Department Manager, Deputy Manager, and Technical Department Manager—all three—were jointly awarded the Young Science and Technology Talent Award.
The year 2022 marked the first-ever Science and Technology Awards selection initiative launched by the Jiangsu Province Metallurgical Industry Association and the Jiangsu Province Metal Society. The purpose of this initiative is to accelerate the implementation of an innovation-driven development strategy, promote the advancement of science and technology in Jiangsu’s metallurgical sector, and boost the enthusiasm and creativity of relevant scientific and technological professionals. This award represents a well-deserved recognition of our company’s innovative technological achievements and the outstanding core technical talents who have made significant contributions. The biennial 2023 China Titanium Valley International Titanium Industry Expo opened on the 20th at the Baoji International Convention and Exhibition Center in Shaanxi Province. This year’s expo brought together 223 exhibiting companies, setting a new record for the largest scale yet.
