On the morning of May 24, 2018, the unveiling ceremony for the “Joint Laboratory on Advanced Materials of Transition Metals and Semiconductors” between Nanjing Youtian Metal Technology Co., Ltd. and the Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences was solemnly held at the Zhonglang Holiday Hotel. Attending the ceremony were Chen Huaihao, General Manager of Youtian Metal; Wei Jie, Director of the R&D Department; Wang Chengwei, Administrative Director; Fan Zhijun, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Semiconductors, CAS; Wang Zhijie, Director of the Key Laboratory of Materials Science; and Yang Shaoyan, Leader of the Ultra-Wide Bandgap Semiconductor Materials Research Group. In addition, Cao Aijun, Director of the Economic Operations Division of the Nanjing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology, attended as a specially invited guest.

　　At the outset of the meeting, Mr. Chen Huaihao, General Manager of Youtian Metals, extended a warm welcome and heartfelt gratitude to the experts from the Institute of Semiconductors of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and to the leaders of the Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology. With impassioned words, he officially announced the establishment of the “Joint Laboratory for Advanced Materials of Transition Metals and Semiconductors,” expressing his hope that the laboratory would help advance application‑oriented research and the commercialization of our company’s core products, while also driving innovation in China’s semiconductor technology. Furthermore, Mr. Chen urged both parties to work together to ensure the joint laboratory delivers tangible results, thereby achieving mutual benefits.

　　Subsequently, Secretary Fan Zhijun of the Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences, delivered a speech, expressing heartfelt gratitude to Youtian Metals for its efforts in organizing this unveiling ceremony. She stated that the establishment of the “Joint Laboratory on Advanced Materials of Transition Metals and Semiconductors” is highly aligned with the current policy priorities and development needs of China. She expressed full confidence that, by leveraging the complementary strengths of both parties through this joint laboratory, they will advance innovative applications of hafnium and zirconium metals in the semiconductor field, thereby making new contributions to the development of China’s semiconductor industry.

　　Subsequently, Assistant General Manager Zheng Ya provided an overview of our company, while Professor Yang Shaoyan from the Institute of Semiconductors gave a detailed presentation on the joint laboratory’s research projects. He also warmly commended President Chen of Youtian Metals for his far-sighted vision and, on behalf of the research team, pledged to live up to the trust placed in them and strive to achieve the joint laboratory’s development goals.

　　At the conclusion of the ceremony, General Manager Chen Huaihao first signed the joint laboratory agreement and the technology development contract together with Professor Yang Shaoyan, and then, alongside Secretary Fan Zhijun, unveiled the plaque for the joint laboratory. This marked the successful completion of the unveiling ceremony and underscored Nanjing Youtian Metal Technology Co., Ltd.’s commitment to continuous innovation and its dedication to contributing to the advancement of China’s semiconductor industry.
